Mako's New Playhouse

It is almost done, just needs handles, and alex is going to make a cabinet for it to sit on, so it will be off the floor and I have a place for all his goodies. It is 5 ft high, 3 ft long, and 2 feet wide at the moment. I can stand in it (alex locked me in, but the hand signals being shown should pr...

Minwax Stain and Polyurethane Combo

Mako has an awesome new palace that alex built and I want to stain it and seal it. I know that a lot of people use polyurethane, but I was wondering about the combined stain and sealant that minwax makes. Anyone used this? I know chewing and eating are different, but wanted to double check before I ...

Re: HELP! PLEASE!!!!

I am so sorry about Sprocket! I wish you the best in finding him. Have you tried putting some of your dirty clothes outside on the trees? I say dirty so they have your scent. Just a suggestion. I am sure he has been adopted into a colony, but I can't imagine your pain. I hope to hear good news from ...

Mako's Disneyland Adventure...

So I had to go out of town yesterday for the night and I decided to bring Mako along so that my grandparents could see him. It was his first car trip since he was brought from Jacksonville, so I was nervous. Anyway, he did great, slept for the 2 hour car ride no problem. So I put him in his travel c...

Re: Biting

My nail polish is scented like fruit (I was in a silly mood the other day) and last night mako discovered that my thumb smelled like a grape (his favorite) and was trying to nibble at it  So maybe Kobie is trying to see if you are tasty....

Re: Antlers

I got mine at a local pet store, not like a pet smart but a family owned shop. It was by the dog chews. And if you can't find one, you can always ask them if they are willing to order you one, they generally are willing to bring in any product someone asks for. I then just got my boyfriend to drill ...

Re: Mako's Intro

Little update on Mako... he is doing well, likes to throw his food around and make a giant mess. He has also started doing what I call "secret agent squirrel" he will pounce around the couch and stop, look around, and jet off to another part of the couch. it's super cute. The other day he ...

Re: Biting

They explore with their mouths sometimes, I think. Mako nipped me for the first time this week, but it was because he didn't want to get off my head. I just gave him a stearn no and he hasn't done it since. Kind of strange that she is biting on your face...

Re: Mako's Intro

Mako and I are doing great. He doesn't hold onto his tent when I get him out to play. He is starting to explore the flyer room a little, he loves the couch. We played peek a boo this morning. He would run where I couldn't see him and then poke his head up after a minute or so as if to say "here...

Mako's Intro

Here is Mako, my new owner that I got yesterday from Joan :D . He REALLY likes to snuggle into my pony tail (where he is now), I'll have to get some pictures of that too. He is very calm, which I know won't last long, but he actually let me take a few pictures of him this morning before shirt diving...

Re: SFS AND OTHER PETS

Cat = big no no. Search for cat/feline saliva on here. They have a bacteria in their mouth/saliva and even the "grooming" will kill a flyer. So basically you have until October to figure out how to keep kitty away from flyer.

Re: Spiders...?

I would think it would be fine. Probably the reason you don't see anything about it is because how many people are actually willing to catch a spider to feed their furball.... I just would watch out for spiders and other insects that are dead in your house, since it most likely means a pesticide kil...

Re: squirrels guy?

I would stay very far away from this guy, he shipped her in a Hot Pockets box?!?! :bad-words: How did she breathe? And those boxes aren't sturdy. Im pretty sure this guy is harvesting, and he doesn't know how to treat an animal, I'm surprised she made it through the shipping. I think he should be st...

Thanks! Just wanted to double check with the experts! I did find a site that tells you how to make them without sewing, basically tying a ton of knots, so I may just do that, haven't decided yet.

Liquid stitch

Is liquid stitch safe to use when making pouches? It says it's non toxic, I just figured it would work better than Elmer's. Bought some fleece today to make a sleeping pouch/hommock/etc for my future owner. Also, what about the wood that is available at craft stores, they have all kinds of shapes an...

Seashells...

Can you use seashells as food dishes? I live in Florida and have access to all kinds and I am a beachy person anyway, so I would love to use them. Are they bad for flyers if they try to chew on them? I don't want to cause the breakage of any teeth! Obviously I would clean them well and attach them t...
