Re: Hair loss on my fuzz balls tail

Thank everyone for their responses to my query. I didn't think it was serious as she is full of life and happy. Except yesterday. Her cage needed cleaning bad so I talked her into getting into her little pouch and then I put her in a little critter carrier that has a small cardboard house in it for ...

Re: How To Find an Escaped Flyer in the House

When I let my little SugarPuff out she will always return to her cage when she is through playing.

Hair loss on my fuzz balls tail

Hello everyone. I haven't been on in a while but want to report that Sugar Puff is as sweet as always. Need to ask a queston though and I hope someone has an answer. She has lost a lot of hair on the top of her little tail. You can see the skin on the top of her little tail and it looks like it is g...

Re: Ice Cream

Thanks for the help. I guess I will just have to continue giving her a little once a week to get her to take her vitamins.

Now, can anyone tell me how much Repcal they give their little squirrels?

Thanks,

Re: Ice Cream

I really hope that someone can help me. I just want to know that giving her a taste of icecream every night or so will not do her any damage. I can live with a little fat but I don't want to do anything that will shorten her little life. My wife and I love the little rascal very much and we don't wa...

Ice Cream

Hello everyone. First I want to report that my SugarPuff is doing fine. She is finally over the calcium deficiency thing and now has started cutting her own pecans open. I put a tiny bit of Repcal in a small amount of icecream an melt it up. Now, the problem. She has gotten spoiled and last night wh...

Looking for an exercise toy that will wear down claws

Hello there. My little Sugarpuff's claws are getting so long and sharp that they hang up on everything that they touch, mainly my shirts. I remember seeing a treadmill for small animals that had a surface inside of the wheel that will wear down claws. Now that I think I need it I haven't beem able t...

Loving Little SugarPuff

Every night I let SugarPuff out in her little pouch for an hour or so. On weekends she will spend several hours with me. She never gets tired. I don't know why. Sunday she was with me six or seven hours but Monday I had to work so I didn't have any time with her till after supper. We don't have to c...

Re: Feeding Problems

Thanks Martie. I guess I will have to gut it up and quit cracking them for her. It is not that I don't want to crack them. I would do it all of her little life for her except I just do not want her little teeth to grow all out of shape.

Feeding Problems

I know that squirrels need to chew to keep their teeth worn back as they grow all of their lives. Having said that, I cannot get SugarPuff to cut open pecans and acorns. She loves pecans and will eat acorns but she prefers me to crack them for her. I have left nothing to eat in the cage but uncracke...

Re: New Member # 253

Hello Judy, I am originally from Louisiana and before I-10 was built I used to drive through Deweyville all the time going and coming. Back around 10 or 15 years ago my wife and I were coming back from Kentwood, La. and decided to drive the old route just from fun and spotted a place just out of Dew...

Re: New Member # 253

Thank you very much Joan. That is what I was hoping to hear. She certainly looks healthy and has grown some since we got her. She used to have the tiniest little feet but lately I have noticed the little girl has a pretty good set of clod hoppers on her. My wife said we may have to rename her BigFoo...

Re: New Member # 253

SugarPuff lived loose in our house for a couple of weeks before we caught her and put her in a cage. We put a nice little bird house in it which she loves. One night, before we caught her in the house, I woke up when I felt something soft and fuzzy rub against my face. It woke me and I wandered if I...

Re: New Member # 253

I will try again. I seem to have lost my input. Hello! I am in Houston. You say you are about 25 miles above Beaumont. Are you around Deweyville, by any chance? I want to tell you about my little SugarPuff and how we got her. She came to us with the Hurricane Ike. It blew all night and into the morn...
