No problem.
As for oil... we still have tar balls, and now, oddly, displaced BP workers whose contractors drove them down here to work and then just left them with no money and no place to stay.

I'm kneedeep trying to help our local wildlife refuge with the coming oil spill. I'm either writing articles or spreading the word that they need help... Speaking of... if anyone has a reliable source of where they can get non-shut off heating pads, the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge is in dire need ...

Newsletter update
Or lack thereof. I was going to try and finish up the newsletter before June, but there may be a slight delay now thanks to the oil slick off the coast. I have rolled up my elbows to help our local wildlife refuge by getting out timely news articles for them in preparation of the oil spill making la...

Re: Is there a way to "TRAIN" your FS to Not use me as a toilet
Benji and Nibbles both seemed to benefit from "time-out" potty training. Since they love to be out of the cage and on me, every time one of the girls would pee on me I would immediately return them to the cage, shut the door and leave the room. It didn't take long for Benji to figure out t...

The recipe for the squirrel blocks can be found here: http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21233 The woman who designed it has spent years researching a proper squirrel diet. For those that don't want to try making their own squirrel blocks, she does bake and sell them on her website ...

I Googled them (Japanese maple seed pods) and it said they're edible so I gave some to my furballs. There is nothing left! LOL. Completely and utterly devoured. Heh heh. It must be cool to be a little squirrel sometimes. (forgive my Nyquil induced ramblings) Is it possible to collect and freeze more...

I noticed a few days ago that this was an old thread from 2005, but the information is still valuable considering we don't often think about the little things that can hurt our flyers. Brown Recluse spiders like dark, humid places. In the house I would check under sinks and in hot water heater close...

Yes, I think a conference in the panhandle for 2011 will be doable. In the interim for those wishing to come down and kayak and scallop I'll try to set up a mini-meetup for late summer that won't necessarily be flying squirrel related but just good fun. I had a great time at the conference and enjoy...

I'm sorry I don't have a good answer for you. If she is as healthy as you believe her to be, I suppose it's possible that she's become bored with it. I use the small animal bedding that fluffs up. I'm not sure what it's called, heck it might just be called bedding or nest fluff, but it's safe for birds and small animals and doesn't have any strings that might injure them by getting tangled or wrapped. I'm sorry to hear that the female didn't make...

I bought a sugar glider cage on ebay (5 foot tall and on rollers) which packs into the bed of our truck. For actually transporting the two girls, I put their sleeping bag into a small plastic pet tote. Then when we get to where we're going we roll in the big cage and then put the girls in it. You do...
