Re: bald spots

I thought I should do a follow up on this. That stiff fur and bald spots have never returned. I feel positive it was the vitamins that he was reacting to. He's been soft and shiny ever since! I am so thankful to have this site! Thank you! Thank you!

Re: bald spots

I believe the cause of the bald spots were the multi-vitamins I gave him. It has not occurred since I stopped giving them to him. For your information it was "vita-sol" multivitamins for hamsters and gerbils... The high potency 8 in 1.

But concerning your question.... I'd tell anyone not to let them out if they weren't used to them. That way you can relax on your cruise. They'll be fed, safe and so happy to see you when you return!

Brought my little dude some honeysuckle that I saw growing along the bike trail we ride. He loves that stuff!... and it smells so nice! I only gave him one sprig. I never give him a lot of any one thing. Rowdy recommends it, if you've never tried it!

I hung an empty coconut shell in for Rowdy to play in. He played in and on and with that thing all night! He's the cutest thing! I also changed a couple of things around. He seems to like new stuff and newly arranged stuff. What do you like to do for your little ones?

Rowdy was very quiet when i first got him. Not so much anymore, but sometimes he's quiet at night. I wake up and wonder why I didn't hear him out and about. Sometimes he's just stealthy. He's the only flyer I have so I can tell what he's been doing by what's out or moved in his cage, what food is mi...

Re: Pics of Bella's New Room and Newly Rearranged Cage

My husband and son built Rowdy's nesting box with a French cleat, so it easily lifts out when I want to get him out or clean his box. The top and back of his habitat are plywood covered with that fencing stuff. So there's no way he chew his way out and get hurt. I'll post a couple of pictures of the...

I'm curious why you think Butternuts is a pain. Time and patience should do the trick. I got my flyer at 8 months old. So considerably older than yours. I guess he was just sleeping in. Thanks Joan. He made up for it last night. I put a new branch from our pear tree in there, and moved a pouch to a different spot, just to change things up a bit. I think he's fine. I kept checking on him yesterday and he was like, "what?.. I'm sleeping!"

Rowdy was less active last night

Just wondering if I should be worried about him. At night in his habitat when he thinks we can't see him, Rowdy is usually, as Joan puts it, "a jack Russell on caffeine!". Not so last night. He did eat his apple, his mealworms, and some clementine and his pecan with calcium. He usually run...
