Re: My New Baby Boy, Chewy

Seems to be doing well. Eating regularly, completely weaned. He is eating Henry's Healthy Blocks, orange slices, apples, broccoli, sunflower seeds, occasional nuts as treats, mushrooms, and some raw sweet potato and drinking water no problem. Pay no mind to my weird faces in the photos. I recently n...

My New Baby Boy, Chewy

Just got Chewy from Janda Exotics at 6.5 weeks old. 100 on the cuteness scale. Looks like he is sucking his thumb in the first picture. http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b457/NJxRinzler/IMG_4446_zpshf6izz5k.jpg http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b457/NJxRinzler/IMG_4444_zpsxx32mbjg.jpg http://i10...

Janda Exotics Review

I've had a very pleasant experience with Ashely from Janda Exotics . She is kind and knowledgeable. I informed her of my previous terrible experience with a different breeder and she was very helpful with giving me all the information I needed. She ships them in a small plastic bin, within an actual...

AVOID Even Keel Exotics BUYER BEWARE

I just wanted to make a thread warning you all of a "breeder" called Even Keel Exotics . Too make a long story somewhat short, in 2014 I was in contact with him in early 2014 and ended up purchasing two "8-week-old" flyers. I paid to have them shipped from Michigan to New Jersey....

Re: Nut n' Berry or Henry's Healthy Blocks

Thanks Joan! Also, do you still recommend just getting 1 squirrel so it bonds properly, and then add another a year later if need be? I bought a couple squirrel "babies" a few years ago which turned out to be adults and I'm pretty sure they were wild as well. Would not give me the time of ...

Nut n' Berry or Henry's Healthy Blocks

Which is better as a staple? I was originally going to use the Nut n' Berry as a staple but I'm reading conflicting information online now. Obviously going to supplement with fresh veggies, fruits, and nuts as well. Getting a new baby boy some time in February, just thinking ahead and doing all my r...

Re: Housing 3 squirrels

Haha alright. I actually gave one male to my sister. I have the other male and female in the same cage. They seem love each other and sleep in the same housing. Their names are Chunk (Captain Chunk) and Nutella :)

Re: Getting 2 new flyers Need Help!! Male and Female

I'm going to keep the new male and female in the bottom half of the cage for now and leave butternuts alone in the top half for now and keep them separate.

Re: Getting 2 new flyers Need Help!! Male and Female

So they probably won't breeder is there a chance? Say one of them bonds to me and my fiancé anyway, minus trying to breed, will they get along just loving together in the same cage anyway?

Re: Getting 2 new flyers Need Help!! Male and Female

I guess have them breed so I can have a really strong bond with a pup. The one I have now is proving to be a pain. I may be able to get two females instead of one of each.

Getting 2 new flyers Need Help!! Male and Female

I'm going to be receiving 2 new flyers roughly 11 weeks old, one male and one female. I already have 1 male that's about 13 weeks now. He is slowly getting use to me but not bonding. My question is will the new ones I'm getting bond to me or are they too old? Or should I just try breeding them and l...

Alright. Thanks. I have goats milk epsilac on hand now. He licked the syringe and licked it a little. That's about it. Still just scared of me. Burrows into the corner of the bonding pouch

Re: New flyer scared of me.

No I'm not giving it formula. I'll get on that right away. He's been eating bits of apples and pecans, sundlfower seeds on his own. But not by hand. How along should you still be hand feeding formula? I'll go pick up some esbilac now.

New flyer scared of me.

I purchased a flyer from someone and was told it was tame and hand fed and 9 weeks old. So far it's just been scared of me. Runs away. It hasn't bitten me which is good. It let's me pet him sometimes, but most of the time will run away. It doesn't eat from my hand. I can put a pecan right in front o...
