shylo is wild, looking for rehabber in NY

Hello everyone, I am posting because shylo has become unhandleable and wild. I also posted this same post in the Wild Flyers section, I am unsure which section would be more appropriate. I am looking for a wildlife rehabber in NY or the NYS tristate area to help me with a soft release or to help me ...

shylo is wild, looking for wildlife rehabber in NY

Hello everyone, I am posting because shylo has become unhandleable and wild. I am looking for a wildlife rehabber in NY or the NYS tristate area to help me with a soft release or to help me find a new, safe location for her. She bites and draws blood whenever I attempt to handle her despite the many...

not sure how they got there, but i have fleas in my room. i've removed shylo and placed her in another room, and she does not seem to have any fleas herself. i have used the raid spray twice on the carpet, but there are a few fleas hanging around. i am considering using the raid fumigator fumigating...

i'll be honest... i hid a flyer in a dorm room and in an on campus apartment owned by the school. however, i had a single both years. it was difficult, and i would not recommend it if you have a roommate. your roommate might not be thrilled with finding little droppings on his things. if you really ...

Put her in a tiny time out space (mine is 11" L x 7" Wx 4 " H), leave the room and don't go back for 5 minutes. Release her and do the same thing if she attacks again. When she grabs you, press her to your chest and hold her there against you tightly until you can get get into "...

biting and aggression... help please... idk what to do

the problem has gotten progressively worse. i previously have attributed her biting to hormonal issues. for the past 2-3 weeks, she has probably bitten me almost every single night. i have 5-6 fresh bites tonight so far. she does not just bite and release. she attacks. she bites, grips, and pulls an...

shylo's leg... rash?

hello everyone. about a month ago i first noticed that on the underside of shylo's back leg it appeared that there was some hair missing, and it was red. it is still red, and there are spots of hair missing. the skin is not just pink, but has distinct, tiny red marks on it. i can only see it when sh...

aw i'm sorry muffin isn't very cuddly. i find when i increase the treat giving shylo gets a bit friendlier :) but she can be quite moody nonetheless. she has taken to attacking my head at night when i lay down to go to bed, since i let her run around while i sleep in my room. last night i put my hai...

how is muffin doing? shylo has some serious hormonal issues as well... so i can empathize! i have been a victim to her bites many times when she is in season. she can get herself quite worked up, and i find the only way to calm her is actually to hold her close to my chest for 10-15 seconds until sh...

good luck bonding with masha. i think beverly has the best idea here... take it slow, but spend lots of time with her. shylo won't use a wheel either, btw... i've tried different types but she doesn't like them. not all flyers like wheels.
