Orphaned Raccoons
I have two young raccoons that have been away from their mother for at least a day or two, I am told. Their eyes are open, they can walk around, and they can growl and screech so one resource told me that they are at least 6-7 weeks old. They are still pretty small, though so I wouldn't think much m...

When I was on the site about a year ago, I noticed that they didn't have many good links so I requested that they add us and she happil...

Thanks everyone. It is really sad that there is a need for such a place, but I am happy that it does exist to help so many animals. What a wonderful trip. You will have to give them extra love from all of us . The program sounds great . I would like to know more about the little rehab guy. When you ...

Exciting News!
This summer I will be going to Cameroon in Africa for most likely three months. I will be volunteering at the Limbe Wildlife Centre, which specializes in the rehabilitation and care of confiscated, orphaned, and injured wildlife including chimpanzees and lowland gorillas. I am so excited. It will be...

Avoiding China is a good idea when possible to help put pressure on China to take a stand against the actions of the Sudanese government. In case anyone wasn't aware, China purchases, I believe, about 80% of Sudan's oil as well as other products. They have the influence to make the government change...

I noticed today a small bald spot on Nieve's head. Alyssa thought that it may be molting, but the paranoid HOF that I am, I just wanted to ask here, too, to make sure that it isn't a problem. The skin is the normal color - definitely not red or scaly. It just seems weird. I was planning to watch it ...
