Orphaned Raccoons

I have two young raccoons that have been away from their mother for at least a day or two, I am told. Their eyes are open, they can walk around, and they can growl and screech so one resource told me that they are at least 6-7 weeks old. They are still pretty small, though so I wouldn't think much m...

yes, world exotics is a big broker, which imports a number of exotic species. they would not be a preferable choice. do your best to find a hobby breeder, but if that is not possible, the broker that seems to have the best record is Helen's Little Critters.

There are a number of breeders in Florida. Joan, the head of this group, is one. Email her and she can also let you know about other breeders in FL as well.

Kathy, that was really nice to hear. These guys truly are our little angels and it is always hard to lose our babies, but the time that we spend with them and the impact that they have on our lives and the lives of others is well worth the pain that comes with their losses.

It is definitely still required. In the wild, the life expectancy is much less than in captivity and many animals die of calcium deficiency ailments.

Avoiding China is a good idea when possible to help put pressure on China to take a stand against the actions of the Sudanese government. The skin is the normal color - definitely not red or scaly. It just seems weird. I was planning to watch it ...
