Re: Fried Catfish?

I've learned here talking with this club that flyers do eat some meats and I have offered her other ones but the catfish is her favorite. She's funny about it. She has another bed hanging in her pen and when you give her a cookie she'll take it there. I call it her "cookie jar". She will s...

Fried Catfish?

Just want to add that our flier, Piper, loves fried catfish. Whenever we go out and eat it we always bring her some home. She will attack you as soon as she smells it. We learned about this when she'd really smell our hands when we had just got home, so we brought her some. She doesn't eat much, tho...

Re: Pine Nuts in the Shell - has anyone tried these?

My flyer won't chew into them but I've read on here where other ones do all the time. Mine won't even chew into a pecan shell or peanut. Maybe the others will answer you soon.

Re: I think i have another Michael Phelps in the making!!

She likes her fresh water. She's 2 years old now and I would love to weigh her. She is sooooo skinny ! I can't seem to fatten her up. I've tried everything---I bought her worms, the ones that make you the fattest, and she ate a few then she'd just kill them and not eat them. What would you weigh one...

Re: I think i have another Michael Phelps in the making!!

My Piper has a water bowl and a water bottle in her pen and I have seen her often sit on the edge of her bowl and take her front paws and "fish" really fast in the water. I have also seen her with all four feet in there--just standing there. Then she gets out and slings off the water. Cute...

Tell me what this "war dance" is. When Piper bites me all her legs really get to going for a minute. It's as if it hurts her to bite me but maybe it's the war dance.? Think so? We never have understood why she does that.

I was so glad to hear that that's what it is. I was really getting worried that she had some kind of digestion problems. She's not fat at all, anyway. I'm trying to fatten her up. I got her some wax worms and she loves them. (She won't eat a earthworm)

Her whole body moves, her stomach goes in and out--kinda like the hiccups, with her head moving forward with each one. I don't know, maybe she's just weak or something. It just looks like she's swallowing constantly.

Is she swallowing?

My flyer Piper seems to be swallowing all the time like she needs a drink of water or something. She'll do this for 2-3 days, then she'll quit. The last time she was doing this she had real soft stools, but this time she doesn't. Also, she doesn't seem to feel very good and kinda cranky. She'll go m...

Piper, my little flyer, may be sick. Last night when she wouldn't come out of her bed I reached in and got her. She was cold and lifeless. She would only sit, no running around or anything.
