It could be since she hasn't fallen, but might be some type of seizure. They usually don't just stay still when picked up. Let me see if anyone else on the ER team has an idea.

... However, the Squirrel Board says NOT to give any kind of bird food because it's too high in seeds and corn. It says to give seeds and nuts as treats only. It also says to give fruit in moderation as well and not have that as a base diet. I think most bird seed mix is a waste of money as they go...

You can go ahead and start carrying her so she gets use to your odor. The first time I picked Chuck up, he bit me too. You are right about her being scared. She will adjust quickly. Try not to be anxious as she will pick up on this. Just take you time and be patient.

Try the bathroom method viewtopic.php?f=16&t=205 of him getting to know you. If he was bonded to someone before you got him, he'll shift that bond to you. If he's never been bonded, this is a good way to get him to trust you. Patience is the key.

So sorry to hear this. With a wild flyer, there is no telling what was going on. You did your best and that's all you could do. I'm sure she had her best 2 weeks of her life with you.

The floor is solid with a 1 inch lip. I cover the floor with kitty liter. It soon gets covered in cast off shells and whatever Chuck doesn't wany. LOL

As far as I know, Joe is the only person in the US to get a flyer officially designated as a service animal. He could tell you how to go about doing this in your State.
