The Havahart may work. Move her cage near where you last saw her and just wait ... she will likely go to what she knows. You may have to wait until morning to see if she returned to the cage.

It could be since she hasn't fallen, but might be some type of seizure. They usually don't just stay still when picked up. Let me see if anyone else on the ER team has an idea.

... However, the Squirrel Board says NOT to give any kind of bird food because it's too high in seeds and corn. It says to give seeds and nuts as treats only. It also says to give fruit in moderation as well and not have that as a base diet. I think most bird seed mix is a waste of money as they go...

You can go ahead and start carrying her so she gets use to your odor. The first time I picked Chuck up, he bit me too. You are right about her being scared. She will adjust quickly. Try not to be anxious as she will pick up on this. Just take you time and be patient.

Try the bathroom method viewtopic.php?f=16&t=205 of him getting to know you. If he was bonded to someone before you got him, he'll shift that bond to you. If he's never been bonded, this is a good way to get him to trust you. Patience is the key.
