Ben sells organic gourment squirrel food which is simply dried chestnut pieces. They sell dried chestnuts for human comsumption and these are the pieces. He sells for .50 cents per pound. The outside wildlife and Rockie loves them and they are very nutritious and very good for your squirrels teeth as they are hard as rocks unless soaked until soft.

Diamond Nuts is a large commercial distributor of nuts, and most grocery stores carry some of thier products. You can order many inshell nuts directly from their web site:

I've personally gotten almonds, peacans, hazelnuts, walnuts and (shelled) pinenuts from them. Now if they only carried inshell pinenuts, hickorynuts, and acorns!

Found these guys recently:

Lots of good nuts raw and in shell,
Hazelnuts, peacans, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds (in the seed section), etc.

What an awesome list. Thanks everyone. Been trying to figure out how to mix up the nut diet from what I can get at the supermarket.
