I am just wondering if ACORNS are ok for a SFS to eat?

Let's just say, I wouldn't stand between them and an oak tree! :gliding: :eekblue:

Acorns are fine; too many may make the urine smell really strong, though.

It is raining acorns in my yard like the sky is falling. I was wondering how long can they be stored? Also on another thread someone had mentioned being careful about parasites from wild foods. Is freezing them enough to safeguard against this?

Many acorns contain tiny worms that the flyers love. You can freeze for storage. Tom Savage recently talking about which freeze well and which don't: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7816&p=64662&hilit=Savage#p64662
