Daisy is sick!

Postby Skirkpatrick74 » Mon Sep 16, 2013 6:12 am

I need some help please, last night Daisy was not herself. She wouldn't play on the screen like normal. This morning she is barely moving, breathing fast, just crawling around. I'm really worried about her!

Best thing to do with an adult with suddent onset of symptoms is get her to your vet. Has she had problems moving before?

No, she's never been like this. She's moving, but she's slow. When Scott first got her out of the cage, she was just crawling...she's a little better now. I'm just worried about her breathing...it's like she's been running a marathon. She's a little perkier now.

Best to have her vet check with difficulty breathing. They can listen to her lungs.

Having a problem finding her a vet. TN won't treat without a game warden approval, and AL they are illegal to keep. Any suggestions?

She seems to be doing a bit better, she's chomping on an apple now. Skul suggested I give her some Tums water every two hours, so I brought her to work with me (desk job, so I didn't think it'd be a problem), and she has decided to get more active! :) We will be taking a half day and going home!

If she's getting better, keep doing what you're doing. These little fellows have amazing healing abilities.

I wish I could find a flyer friendly vet in TN that's close to home. Any suggestions?

Daisy is much better today. She ran around my bed this morning for about 2 hours before she settled down to sleep. I'm so glad, I was very worried about her. Thanks for your help Joan!
