Are frogs and mushrooms on the diet?

Postby merrittarnold » Mon Sep 04, 2017 9:26 pm

I've got thousands of little frogs all over the yard, coming up from the pond. Has anyone ever had a flying squirrel eat a frog? Can this be a supplemental protein for their diet?
Any danger in feeding them to my baby?

Also, I read that flyers like mushrooms. Obviously fresh mushrooms from the store are safe, but I like to give them the most natural diet possible. Will she instinctually know which mushrooms are safe and which ones are poisonous? Can I safely give her mushrooms from the yard?

The thing about flyers is their instinct for what is OK ... except for sweets :hkiss: I would drag all kinds of things in from the woods and mine would eat it or ignore it

That was my hope. I guess I could use her to learn what is edible.
