Flyers on Film

Postby yubman » Sun Jul 17, 2005 2:21 am

My wife and I recently joined Netflix as a way to save on DVD rentals and avoid the lousy selction our local Blockbuster maintains. We've been renting and watching alot of documenties lately. I guess it's a sign that we're getting old when we PAY to watch them.

Well, disc 3 of the David Attenborough "Life of Mammels" has footage of wild flyers zooming about in the section "Life in the Trees" (about 3.5 min); most of it in slow motion. It's amazing to watch how dextrous and agile they are!

If anyone is Netflix member, here is the link to the series of discs:

It's well worth the rental. So far its the only professional footage of flyers I've been able to find. Even though it was only a few moments of footage, it was facinating to watch.
