HOWTO Put a YouTube Video Into your Post

First take note of the YouTube video ID of the video you are interested in:

The Video ID is the part of the url *after* the ?v=

So in this example, the ID is o0H879n9osE

Now once you have the ID in your post, just click the button at the top of the post window called "youtube". This will wrap the ID with the tags as seen below:

And now when you save your post (or preview it), you should see a YouTube video window that is ready to show the video with that ID!

Hey, thanks for the YouTube tutorial, appreciate it. That's a useful new feature I hadn't seen before in phpBB forum software.

It will be interesting to see what happens if a lot of Youtubes are posted in one thread. I coded my own forum software, and discovered that putting the vids right in the posts could lead to too many vids running at once, causing the browser to slow to a crawl.

Is there a thread on the forum here with many vids in it? Thanks again.
