Thank You .I appreciate your concern, and I will check out the others that you mentioned. My vet does not use the removable stitches but the dis-solvable ones and a special type glue that does not cause harm. She is the only vet that takes care of squirrels,at the hospital I use, and she specializes in small animals, her main concern was the anesthesia and as we all know that it is one of the dangers of all surgeries even in humans. She has told me that, and she truly believes she has that worked out.My husband and I have discussed this in depth and since Buddy And Tinker Bell are more attached to him,I told him how dangerous this is,and he feels this is the best thing.Neither one of us want to see these guys caged.I wish you could see the set up we have for all our kids.We have a metal Florida room 26 x 12 feet, that we built for my birds and a place to relax off our bedroom.well I am down to one bird a small love bird thats in my living room now.(by the way his cage is always open except when friends come to visit and bring their dogs)I hate anything to be caged.

sorry I get sidetracked anyway back to the Florida room, the squirrels rule. The grays run it during the day and the S.F.S. run it at night.I started with a huge hammock that hangs from the ceiling from side to side, then my husband brought in natural pecan limbs of various sizes and made them the most wonderful gym that reaches almost to the ceiling,he also connected a large PVC thick wall tube through one of the window openings so they have access to an outside cage thats is very big, they all run in and out at their leisure, they are all so happy I would hate to separate them ,they have been together since 2006 and so far the people that were interested in getting the new babies will cage them.Believe me when I say we are weighing this out very carefully and I am leaving him in Gods hand after all he is the creator of all things great and small and we will pray that God brings him through safe and sound.I wish I knew how to post pictures, because then I would try to take some and put them on for viewing.
