Tail bump

Postby Nativeprincess » Sat Jul 13, 2013 11:26 am

Hey all,
A few months ago I noticed that instead of tapering off into nothing, Ya'ya's tail ended in a very small bump. It was barely noticeable but she didn't like me touching it. I've been keeping an eye on it an have noticed that it's growing. She now has a slight swelling along the last half inch of her tail. I assume it's tender becasue she squabbles when we try to touch it. I got a good look at it, and the tender part is much darker than the rest of her tail. It doesn't look necrotic, it looks like her skin just has darker pigment there. But I'm no vet.

Anyone know what this may be?

I would get it checked if it's growing.

Oh yea, we have an apt at the vet. I wanted to ask here first since our vet may not be familiar with SFS
