Back Paw Bleeding

Postby blood red yeti » Wed May 14, 2014 8:24 am

Hello,

So this morning when I got home from work I thought I'd let Blossom out for a little bit, for the first 15 minutes everything seemed fine, but then she started chittering and running all over me like crazy, when I finally managed to grab her she got some blood on my hand and that's when I noticed that one of her back paws seemed to be bleeding, she won't let me hold her long enough to look at it closely but she seems to be running around on it fine right now. Is there anything I need to do to take care of it or will she be able to get it fixed up on her own? Thanks.

Doug

It will probably heal on it's own just fine. You could try to get some antibiotic ointment on it, but she may just lick it off. They are fast healers.

Thanks! She seems to be ok, just not running around on her wheel quite so much. But I'm sure she's fine, I was just freaking out a bit because it seemed like a lot of blood for such a small animal. Thanks for the advice!

She's weight bare more on the wheel when her foot is ready.
