I picked up a copy of the Smithsonian Magazine, June, 1985, at a library sale today. In it is an article, "This little squirrel keeps a big trick hidden in it's sleeve", by Nancy Wells-Gosling. The article is "adapted from "Flying Squirrels: Gliders in the Dark", which was published by the Smithsonian Institution Press. It's a great article, with some wonderful photographs. Should be a lot easier, and cheaper, to find than the book. Of course, I'm not going to stop looking for the book!
