"Flying Squirrels: Gliders in the Dark" @ Amazon

Postby yubman » Thu Dec 01, 2005 3:07 pm

I see that a copy of "Flying Squirrels: Gliders in the Dark" is currently (12/1/05) available from Amazon's Market Place for $75. Not cheap, but not as pricey as I've seen them before.

I was able to score one from Amazon about 6 months ago for $25. So they do turn up from time to time.

Yeah, just think of the squirrel toys and treats you could buy with that money.

I would love so much to have this book! I'm going to keep a look out for it. Does anyone have it already?

Try checking it out from the library. They may not have a copy in your branch, but they can maybe get it for you from the main branch.

And yes, it's worth the money! It's a fascinating book. I've seen them go for $150 on eBay!!!

Here's a site where you can check your local libraries for it. "Find in a Library: Flying squirrels : gliders in the dark" Just enter your zip code.

By far, the best reference book for the lay person is Flying Squirrels - Gliders in the Dark, Nancy Wells-Gosling,1985, Smithsonian Press, ISBN 0-87474-952-2 (hardcover) and ISBN 0-87474-951-4 (paperback).
