Let folks know about the loss of a precious furball who has joined others over the Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge

Postby Joan » Thu Oct 27, 2005 8:07 pm

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass and abundant acorn trees.
When beloved flyers die, they go to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special HOF who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes from the group are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group.
You have been seen, and when you and your friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the beautiful hugh brown eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never to be separated again.

Oh my goodness, the Rainbow Bridge post almost made me cry.
And Glorya, I hope Triscuit will have the opportunity to meet Scoot, perhaps Scoot could show her the "ropes" so to say.

Be well, Triscuit.
I know your stay with me was short, but I hope you were happy - You will be missed, and loved forever.

And May all of our departed little ones Rest in peace, and be Happy, until the day We are once more, lovingly reunited with them.

The Rainbow Bridge Memorial section of the NFSA site is up and running. I posted the first memorial for my former owner, Snap.

Go to http://www.nfsa.us to submit your memorial for your little lost furbaby.

We are asking a $1 donation per memorial be made in your flyer's honor to the NFSA. All of the research that is being done will help prevent future flyer deaths. For NFSA Members, this service is complimentary and a donation is not required.

Thanks, and God Bless you and your little ones <3

Mari was my first flyer and a little angel - such a beautiful personality - she blessed my life with her company for nine years. When I got her I thought I was going to pick up a rescue sugar glider - boy was I suprised when I got home! She was the one that started it all!

Skookum & Stoney were my northern flyers - beautiful animals, so docile even for not being hand tame. Would love a chance to get more if I cold ever find any.
