A strange thing about flyers is that they can appear to be fine and go down so fast that there isn't time to try to diagnose or treat the problem. Many people have said that their flyer acted just fine, but was dead hours later. Very seldom do we know just what happened.
This is one of the main reasons the NFSA sponsors necropsies in an attempt to try and learn more and hopefully prevent future deaths. Dr. Cooley is collecting data on all his necropsies and hopes in the future to have gathered enough to give us a meaningful presentation at a future National Conference.
