Queen is getting big!!

Postby Jackee1982 » Mon May 08, 2006 10:44 am

I think my Queenie is prego!! She is still nesting w/ Titi but the other male has been kicked out. She is barely squeezing through her nest box hole because she is so fat. I think I'm going to make her nursing cage tonight. Where would I buy live meal worms?

I get mine at Petco, or any store that sells live bait. Around hear the giant mealworms are popular fishing bait.

Today I set Queen in her own cage. I moved her favorite nesting box in there with her. She seemed really scared to be in a new cage. I hope she adjusts to it. I dont want her to freak out and endanger herself. I knew it was time to move her though, she was chasing Titi and Cuidado around their big cage all last night!

I did a cage rotation just last week because Peaches was doing the same thing. She & Whiz seem to be getting used to it now, but I was having my doubts that it was the right thing the other day.

She's starting to look like a fat toad, and weighs a ton in the belly area...

Ok, I no longer think Queen is prego because she would've delivered by now. I think she is just a fatty!! I swear she has fat rolls for boobies!! I guess she is going on a diet....I'm going to cut back on the nuts!! Umm is 4 pinenuts a day too many??

Don't be too sure. The aggressive behavior toward the males is a good sign of pregnancy. I know Mishi stayed big and didn't deliever when I thought she should.

Hmmm, I have had aggressive behavior towards males and I have never been pregnant.

Sorry, I had once been married and couldn't resist making the comment.

Either way if aggressive it is best to not leave them alone together unsupervised to prevent injuries until she gives birth or calms down depending on the cause of aggression.
