liquid vs. powdered Esbilac?

Postby toiveajattelu » Tue Nov 25, 2008 5:02 pm

Hi there,

Best-Friend is seven weeks and a few days old now, and fattening up nicely! Up until now I have been mixing powdered Esbilac with water and cream to feed her 2-3 times a day. She has also been eating apple since I got her a week and a half ago, and now eats zucchini, grapes, mushroom, and broccoli. I realize I don't need to worry about giving her formula for much longer, and I'm all set to start giving her Rep-cal on veggies when she stops the formula. Today I realized I was almost out of the powder, so I went to my pet store but they only had the pre-mixed Esbilac liquid. I bought it, but I've read here that the powder is better for some reason. Is there something I should do to make the pre-mixed Esbilac better for Best-Friend?

It's just that the liquid expires quickly. Freeze it in an ice cube tray and pop out cubes at feeding time.

Thanks! A lot less complicated than I had anticipated. =)
