Re: I don't know what happened...

Thank you all for your kind replies. Here are a few pictures I took of her just last night. I also have a video of her running and jumping and playing, but I can't seem to upload it onto my computer. She was improving so much, I didn't expect it at all, I thought we were out of the woods... http://i...

I don't know what happened...

Last night Nestle was hopping around my bedroom floor and playing and was so happy and I fed her formula and put her back in her cage. She slept for a little while, and later on, I heard her jumping around in the little cage. I woke up this morning and figured she was sleeping since that's what she ...

Re: Dehydrated?

So... this morning, I woke up to the sweetest sound in the world (formerly, a big annoyance!): Nestle bouncing off the walls of her cage and shaking all of the doors! :D She's still in her tiny rehabbing cage and it was the first time that I've seen her move around in there at all. Up until this mor...

Re: What should I do?

Hmmm...... you've got a picky one, huh? Maybe try different flavors of baby food? Mine won't touch many green veggies, actually, I think the only veggie she goes for at all is fresh corn on the cob, which is more of a snack than a nutritional supplement. :? Whatever your little guy likes, use his fa...

Re: Dehydrated?

I probably could have been giving fresh fruits/veggies more often. I was giving a few times a week rather than every night. But she's so picky anyway, there were only a few that she'll even eat to begin with! Her cage always has an ample supply of shelled and unshelled nuts (walnuts,peanuts,hazelnut...

Re: Dehydrated?

Nes is actually only a little over a year old. I got her last April. Did I make mention somewhere of her being 4? If I did, it must have been a typo... Unfortunately, I can only blame human error in this case. Once I started training for the academy, I didn't pay enough attention to Nestle or her di...

Re: Urine odor

I did the same thing!! I had an old spongy slipper that I hung up in her cage... and sure enough! It became a pee-sponge rather than a fluffy, nut stashing accessory. Nes was also peeing THROUGH the cage wires and onto my dresser. I was not a happy HOF with that one... But I ended up tying paper sho...

Re: leaving the cage open while i sleep...

Every so often ours will want to change nesting spots and boy we have fun looking for them. Your turn will be coming up when he gets tired of that home and is ready to try a new motel. That was a scary first for me! I was under the impression that Nes would always "return home" by morning...

Nes is beginning to look more and more like her old self every day! Her walking problems aren't completely gone, but she's not only going in circles any more. Re: Dehydrated?

Adding to my poor little girl's heap of problems, it seems like Nes might be constipated. She hasn't been eating any solid foods, mostly formula and apple sauce, but after I fed her, it looked like she was "pushing" and trying to go, but only one tiny, light brown poo came out. I wouldn't ...

Re: flyer friendly pets

I practically have a zoo at my house: 5 dogs (only one allowed inside), 2 ferrets, a cocatiel, a snake, a cat, and my flyer. My flyer has only been in the same room as the indoor dog (a chihuahua) and the cat (by accident). The dog completely ignores the squirrel and she seems to understand that the...

I got Nes when she was 12 weeks old, and believe me! I completely understand the frustration you were/are feeling.
