Re: Chuck and I are in trouble

Oh my! That is just too much. I can just see all the headlines now. I am wondering if Cali is finally expecting. If you watched how she treats Chip, you would never think that it was possible. Chip is in love and has been from the start. Even if she does manage to get a good nip in, he'll turn right...

Re: question about bonding in shirt

Chipper tolerated his bonding pouch while he was being dropper feed. After four weeks of dropper feeding he decided to wean himself and become Mr. Independent! Now the only time he goes down my shirt is to hide a nut/acorn or to hide from Cali when she is after him. He does still get under the cover...

It is amazing you can get so close with the camera. Are you using background lighting instead of the camera's flash? I would like to do that but Sweet Pea and Indy both run and hide in anything but near blackness, and I don't want to get to close with the flash and blind them. Chipper doesn't seem ...

Re: Is a flier right for me?

Cali's cage is collapsable and it also sits on a stand. I think it is really a large bird cage. I'll take a picture of it, unless I can find one I have already taken and post it. It was bought in Orlando, I think. It came with her when we adopted her. I can try and contact her previous owner to see ...

Re: nest bed ideas-jeans!

I've been trying to think of what to add to Chipper's new cage as another nesting area. He loves to catch a wink and hind nuts in a pair of jean shorts I have hanging on the back of my bedroom door. They are rather large (as I have lost lots of weight) for the cage, but a small pair of overalls woul...

Most everything I have in Chip and Cali's cages are up with zip ties. I have them in pretty snug and have never seen either of them bother them. Sounds pretty normal for a SFS. Chipper and Cali have been in the frenzy for a few weeks no. Chip is ok with hiding about 2 dozen or so every night and then he is ready for play time. Cali on the other hand gets pretty stressed when I won't give her any more. I usually don't mess with their stashes....

Chipper likes to chirp when he is sleeping. He has done it since he was tiny. It usually means he is happy. I suspect it's because he's just finished a nut from his stash in the nest box and he's content. I never hear Cali chirp while she sleeps. They both now "Sing" every evening. Cali is...
