hey everyone. so i am updating shylo's cage, but wanted to run it by people's opinions. is the conclusion that non-toxic powder coating is safe for flyers? i've never seen her chew her cage bars... http://stores.homestead.com/JMExotics/-strse-57/Small-Animal-Cage/Detail.bok i'm so excited to decorat...

new favorite treat

shylo LOVES the just bunches cereal by the same makers of honey bunches of oats... just like her mommy :)
i pick out the little bunches and she grabs them like they are the best thing she's ever eaten. maybe it'll be easier to bribe her with them than pecans!

hide everything valuable in a drawer or something... they will probably destroy it. cover all books, computers, etc. if you have a lot of electronics in your room, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to ever let your flyer free roam. they do chew wires. there are wire protectors you can buy i believ...

i am so sorry lora. perhaps your husband can bring bobo to you if he's still in the nestbox during the day when he's sleepy? i really believe in animal therapy and i bet he'd be happy to see you, and you'd feel a bit better with his comfort :)

love the vase idea. i'll spend 10 minutes straight sometimes chasing shylo. shylo absolutely adores walnut bits. maybe even more than pecans because she can't open walnuts and pecans she can. i too am concerned about what i'm going to do when i take a trip, even for a week. shylo's fierce bond to me...

amazed... she had me kissing her belly!!!

for 'wild' animals, these little guys can sure be surprising. she always peeks her head out of my sweatshirt when she's in it (she'll really only sleep in sweatshirts), and i usually just give her a peck on the nose, and she just comes back for more (like it's some sort of game). today, she climbed ...

she does seem to only pee on me during the day time, when she is woken up by me. she pees on everyone else all the time  because she's rotten like that. i guess it must be just that i'm waking her up. at night, she only 'dribbles' on me sometimes, and that i'm pretty sure is her marking me ...

i'll try the paper towel/newspaper method again. i really don't mind little dribbles, bc that is easy to clean, but puddles of acorn pee are awful and sometimes require that i change my outfit twice to three times a day if i'm not careful!
