Oddly enough, yesterday I was telling my boyfriend that Best-Friend is being especially combative. Every time she gets out of her cage she wants to wrestle. Is this a coincidence or is there really a "time of year?"

Cali went through her hormonal phase last month. I always hope it's because she is pregnant, but that hasn't happened yet. We tolerate each other during that time and she gives no mercy to poor Chip. But about a week ago she settled down and is back to her lovey self complete with shirt diving again.

I found this in another section of the site:

Female flyers generally reach sexual maturity (estrus) around 10 months ... (youngest recorded mother of pups was 4 months old). With estrus, often comes biting behavior... a sort of Flyer PMS that is normal. There is a swelling of the vulva during this time. Often it is not noticed. The PMS symptoms usually subside over a period of 5 days or so if she fails to mate. Females can experience a second estrus within 40 days if she did not mate during the first. The PMS symptoms tend to decrease with each subsequence estrus. Females in heat (estrus) and those pregnant often develop "an attitude" which includes biting and generally "obnoxious behavior." It will pass. Read Bev's correction method for "PMS" at: http://www.voy.com/81231/8538.html

I have a little boy...hehehe! :)

What sort of behaviors do boy SFS's exhibit, if any? Would a girl SFS react better to my boyfriend during her season? Any and all info is helpful at this point, as my mate and I are looking into becoming HOFs soon.
My only past experience with a squirrel was the orphaned grey I cared for years ago; she never exhibited and pmsish attitudes or preferences to me or my ex.

It's very possible. I have noticed that female HOFs seem to have more trouble with female flyers during PMS (the flyer's  ) than male HOFs do.

well, i'm sure there's a first time for everything
but seriously, what i meant was a female HOF having (more) trouble with the female flyer during the HOF's pms, since we've already established that the flyers can sense that sort of thing.
