Hello everyone,
I am posting because shylo has become unhandleable and wild. I also posted this same post in the Wild Flyers section, I am unsure which section would be more appropriate. I am looking for a wildlife rehabber in NY or the NYS tristate area to help me with a soft release or to help me find a new, safe location for her. She bites and draws blood whenever I attempt to handle her despite the many attempts I have made over the years to accustom her to human contact. She is NOT a pet, and I am not looking for a new HOF for her. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there are no rehabbers in NY able to help me with this, I am willing to travel. Please PM or email me if you are able to help. This has not been easy for me, as I have come to love her despite her flaws, but as a nurse, I cannot have open wounds all over my hands, and it is no longer fair for her to be trapped in her cage. Thank you for your help.
Alyssa
