Neutering carries inherent dangers. Most flyer neuterings have gone well, but some do not. You must remember that a flyer is a wild animal and often will chew at operative sites causing distruction and some times death. ... 2&Itemid=2

Now,some people who own pet male rats who are too hormonal and go after other males in their mischief with the intent to cause injury have tried chemical castration...One dose,I think,lasts six months.
You may talk to your Vet about this option,if need be.
Protect wildlife,keep ye cat indoors.
