Enrichment Idea

Enrichment Idea

Katie did an excellent job with the goody bags at the conference. There was a Chinese finger toy inside each bag. You put a nut or a small acorn inside of these and Mine love ripping them apart to find the treat. My only problem is that Boo, pictured here, thinks that they are all hers. She brutally takes them from the other squirrels and won't share. They can also be zip tied to the cage wire once you have the treats shoved in them.

This is a great idea. Way to go Katie! I think you can get these at the Oriental Trading Post???

That was for the flyers? Mine's still stuck to a finger and when I try to pull it off with another finger ... both get stuck! :oops:

I put a peanut in the first one I gave them... then I realized they had thrown the peanut down when they got to it and didn't bother with it. They just love chewing it up. They've gone through all that I got at the conference so I'm gonna have to find a local supplier to get their "fix" *LOL*

<SIGH> So here's watcha do, Joanie.... Soak the thing in Chinese beer for 10 minutes, it will make it easier to chew.

Yeah!

And if you soak it in the beer and give it to the flyers, it makes them sleep like a baby. LOL
